Modern and Clean Decor For Your Fall Wedding

Okay, so fall happens to be one of my most favorite seasons, next to summer of course. It’s also the time of year where we are the busiest with weddings and events. Our clients prefer these cooler months over the heat of the summer. However, when you think of the fall, what’s the first thing that comes to mind…for me it’s pumpkins and leaves. Not surprisingly though this cliche can sneak into your wedding decor which
is certainly great, but how can a bride and groom put their own personal fall spin into their wedding decor? There are subtle, more modern ways to set up your wedding decor, which most of our clients look to create. So here are a few ideas to add some modern spice to your fall wedding decor.

Wedding Decor: Pretty Little Details, Part One

Wedding Decor: Pretty Little Details, Part One

There are so many fabulous details included in my client’s weddings that there aren’t enough days in the year to post them all. One thing is for sure I absolutely love playing a major role in coming up with unique ideas to infuse into my client’s wedding décor. The most awesome aspect of designing weddings and events is adding little touches here and there of our couple’s unique personality into their wedding day.

Sugar & Spice Baby Shower

Sugar & Spice Baby Shower

We are taking it back to one of our fave baby showers at The Standard Hotel in New York City. Just a little bit of sugar and spice was thrown onto this super chic, swanky, colorful, and trendy baby shower. Our most memorable decor piece to this event was the actual cotton candy that our fabulous floral designer, Angela Caba added to Shilpa’s centerpieces. How amazing is that? We just love a throwback!!!

Real Wedding: Sneak Peak of Dara & Duane

Real Wedding: Sneak Peak of Dara & Duane

While our team held umbrellas over our Bride and Groom, we kept saying to ourselves how much we couldn’t wait to see the final product. I mean come on, our couple slayyyyyyed their wedding day and the rain just made these beautiful photos even better. I’m always worried when it rains on my client’s wedding day because I want nothing more but for them to be in total bliss on their special day. But Dara was smiling from ear to ear from the time my staff and I arrived at the hotel until the end of her wedding night. Not to mention the beyond dapper Groom who was totally calm, cool, and collected. Their photographer Stanley Babbs of Stanlo Photography took these totally fabulous pics of Dara & Duane and his talent behind the camera is superb! But I will let you be the judge…

Ballet Inspired Styled Shoot

Super excited to share our amazing Ballet Inspired Styled Shoot, shot by our awesome friendor Kesha Lambert from this year that has been published on Inside Weddings. When an awesome team of experts gets together to create a vision, we are unstoppable. The gorgeous little ballerinas and the stunning models made our vision for this shoot really come to life. The team and I wanted to show that the strength of a woman starts at a young age, which is why we incorporated these adorable little ladies into the shoot.

It’s Time For A Throwback: Naya’s Sweet 16

So we haven’t done a throwback in awhile. We have so many awesome pictures from this fabulous Sweet 16 and half of them we haven’t even shared yet. Naya’s Sweet 16 took place last year but the photos of this fabulous event still live on!!! Everything about this party rocked. From the fabulous cheerleaders to the sweet 16 gal changing into fabulous outfits to the ever enticing candy table. And the music was totally on point. Our team enjoyed designing and working with some fabulous vendors who made Naya’s Sweet 16 come true. Look on my friends, but I must warn you the glitz might be a little blinding. Happy Throwback Thursday!

Real Wedding Video: Dara & Duane

I truly can’t wait to receive all of the beautiful pics from Dara and Duane’s wedding. But for now I am gushing over their amazing wedding video by one of my fave cinematograhers NST Films. I think I have watched this video way too many times already. (Side Note: I kinda do that will all of my clients wedding videos) The rain really added a natural touch of elegance to this wedding and didn’t stop this bride and groom from slaying their wedding day. So happy to have been a part of Dara and Duane’s nuptials. I have to tell ya, I am super lucky to be a witness in making the magic happen!

Wedding Planning: Cool Ways To Cool Off Your Guests At Your Outdoor Wedding

So it’s August and we all know that means high temps for New York and the East Coast. However, bring on the fun and fabulous outdoor weddings! I love love love the summer and I especially love when my clients choose to have tented weddings and outdoor ceremonies. But what about your wedding guests on a hot summer day? You definitely want to think about creating an experience for them that is unforgettable. And it really starts as soon as they step foot onto the grass, the cobblestone walkway, or that amazing covered pool!

Give them a cool signature cocktail or non-alcoholic summer drink. It doesn’t have to include five different types of rum but something light and fruity would be preferable.

Popsicles. You know those icicle sticks you ate as a kid that come in like 100 a pack and in different colors of the rainbow? How fun would this be to give out on a hot summer wedding day?  Plus it would bring back a lot of great memories for your guests.

Umbrellas. I can sit in the sun for hours because I absolutely love the heat, but let’s face it, there are some people that are afraid of too much sun. So give them a cute umbrella with the bride and groom’s wedding date on it. This can double as a souvenir and a backup plan in case it rains on your ceremony.

Luxury hand towels. Chill them before handing them out to guests. They feel really good against your skin and are super soft if you get the right ones.

Cooling station area. Have an area where your guests can go to cool off either at an inside area where there are air-conditioners or fans. Place water or flavored water options in this area as well. Your guests will appreciate the hospitality!

Outdoor summer weddings are no doubt a fave amongst many guests, but be prepared to make sure your wedding guests are enjoying the experience rather than being drenched in it.

Wedding Planners Highlight: My Featured Article Going From Part-Time to Full-Time Entrepreneur

Wedding Planners Highlight: My Featured Article Going From Part-Time to Full-Time Entrepreneur

I am excited to announce that my article on going from a part-time to full-time entrepreneur has been featured in Wedding Planner Magazine for Summer 2017! When I pressed the submit button to send this to the editors of the Wedding Planner Magazine, I thought they were never going to accept this crazy story. Heck, I  even thought they wouldn’t believe anything I wrote. Writing this article brought back a lot of shaky feelings but also great memories of my journey thus far. I definitely wrote this from the heart and with a truthful and honest voice.

Honestly, there are days when I feel like having a full-time job would be best. I mean who doesn’t like a steady paycheck? But then I look back at all I have created and I know that I am in this for the long haul. Why give up on my passion? This is something I ask myself almost daily. Deciding not to go back to work full-time was one of the scariest things I have ever done in my life. Not even having kids was this scary. It was and still is a leap of faith, unshakeable, unwavering, steadfast good old-fashioned FAITH.

Being where I am right now has given me the ability to really focus on my clients needs and on my passion for planning and designing events. It has also given me the opportunity to be home with my children and focus on my family. I’m really not sure what the future holds; if I did I couldn’t begin to tell you all of the wild and crazy ideas I would be living out on a daily basis. (Insert: Dancing & beach life babyyyyy) Right now I am growing and loving all of the wonderful memories that I am creating with my clients and in my life. Being and entreprenuer is a journey that calls on me to always be in line and in touch with my faith in MAKING THINGS HAPPEN. My strong faith in God is what keeps me going and I know that I will never fail because I have him by my side! I am glad that I am on a journey to cultivate and create amazing experiences for those that I serve.
