Okay, so I kind of lied in the title just a little bit. Having a wedding with no hiccups is, well, a bit unheard of, but there are certainly ways that you can have a wedding that runs as smoothly as possible. Your guests, and even you, may not know that there were minor issues going on behind the scenes. A perfect wedding means something different to every bride or couple. To me it means happiness!! If you want to have a happy and smooth running wedding day, take note of these 5 tips:

Hire a Wedding Coordinator
I am a wedding coordinator so naturally you would think I would suggest it. But I am suggesting it because it’s TRUE. Hiring a day-of coordinator will help you relax, have less stress, and basically NO worry on your wedding day. You have spent countless hours planning your wedding, leave the logistics in someone else’s hands, grab a drink, and get on the dance floor!

Create a Thoughtfully Designed Timeline
I always tell my clients if you can’t afford a day of coordinator, at least create a timeline for your vendors. In my opinion, it’s virtually impossible to have a smooth running wedding day without one. I am always captured by this quote, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”

Enlist Your Wedding Party
Yes, your besties are part of your wedding day. But are they really a part of it? Bridesmaids or groomsmen are there to support you, but also to offer some assistance on the wedding day. Consider light duties for them like handing out programs to guests, making sure the timeline is being carried out, or making sure guests are aware of the day’s activities.

Use Your Venue’s Bridal Attendant
Having a bridal attendant is certainly helpful once you and your guests arrive at the venue. They are there to help you with whatever is needed to ensure you are happy and stress-free. Keep in mind that bridal attendants are not with you before your arrival to the venue so having a planner with you the entire day is beneficial.

This should actually be number one on the list, but I always tell clients to breathe and be in the moment. You have waited so long for this day and it is here. Don’t stress the small stuff and enjoy your wedding as much as possible. Don’t let the beautiful memories go to waste!
